The installation itself usually takes 2 to 3 working days, spread across about a week so the concrete at the posts has time to set. Before that come the estimate, any HOA or city approval, the Tennessee 811 notice and our place in the schedule.
What happens, in order
- A free visit to measure, followed by a written quote.
- HOA approval and any city or county sign-off that applies.
- Tennessee 811 request, at least three working days before we dig.
- Old fence removed, holes dug, posts set and left for the concrete to set.
- Rails and pickets, panels or mesh, then the gates. We clean up and walk the fence with you.
What slows a fence job down in Clarksville?
- HOA review boards that meet once a month.
- Rock. Holes in limestone take far longer than holes in clay.
- Spring and early summer, when new arrivals at Fort Campbell all want fences at once.
- Long wet spells, which turn clay to mud and fill the holes with water.
- The weeks after a major storm, when repairs fill every calendar.
- Special-order colors, custom gates and operators.
We are getting a dog in three weeks and have no fence. What is fastest?
Ring us now and send your HOA application the same day, because the approval is often the longest wait. The 811 notice takes three working days. Stock materials, meaning chain link and standard pine or vinyl panels, are the quickest to build. If the full yard cannot be ready, a small run or kennel beside the house can be, with the main fence to follow.
We are putting in a pool. Fence before or after?
Some before and the remainder after. The excavator and the concrete trucks need a wide opening, so that side stays open during the dig. Once the pool is in, the barrier is completed and inspected before the pool is cleared for swimming. Order the fence when you sign for the pool, so the two schedules line up.
My association says fix the fallen panels by Monday and my contractor keeps delaying. Can a handyman patch it?
Yes. It is your fence, and a handyman patch to stand the panels back up will usually satisfy the notice. Read your contract before you do it, and let the contractor know in writing what was done, so the final repair and the invoice are not confused.
The only real price is one based on your yard. Call (931) 293-9766 for a free on-site estimate, or text us a photo of the fence line.
